The roles of domineering heads

They are twain domineering. They are two oppressive. They are twain despotic. Esteban Trueba, in Isabel Allendes The kinsperson of the Spirits, and mummy Elena, in Laura Esquivels the like peeing for Chocolate, are two very similar authoritarian characters in their nature and function in much the same manner. Allendes paterfamilias and Esquivels matriarch assist in the development of other characters with their interactions with these characters and the retort each character has to living in that autocrats household.         Allende and Esquivel front protest in their treatment of rebellion against the authoritarian heads of the families. In The House of the Spirits, Blanca rebels while still living in her drives household. She ignores her fathers demands and does as she pleases hobo his back. She is virile and stubborn, unwilling to allow a situation to worry her.
